Departing JFK:
The journey began with Michele driving us to the JFK airport right after work. We bought dinner from Philly Cheesesteak (located at Jetblue’s T5 terminal) and surprisingly enough, it tasted delicious (or maybe I was just that hungry). Eating dinner after boarding the plane was a great way to start the flight. The gentlemen seated next to us complimented our food choices which allowed us to break the ice and converse. There were 5 #AYCJ ers aboard this flight that we know of.
The flight departed at 8:50 PM, EST. Our flight attendant was named: Quintin and we could tell that he REALLY loves his job. Quintin’s approach to get people’s attention is great! He politely asked everyone to pay attention and use the buddy system when they see him walking down the aisle with refreshments. Double thumbs up for this! His objective is to prevent folks from feeling as if they were overlooked or ignored. * Exceptional Service *
Speaking of providing great in flight service, its time for snacks and drinks. Tip: ask for plenty of drinks since they are offered unlimited, one of my favorite moments of the flight. Stock up ladies and gents, especially if you’re visiting a destination that requires you to book a hotel which doesn’t have a mini fridge and/or supermarkets nearby.
In flight entertainment solidifies my reasoning for not watching the Food Network. Watching that show makes me think of the following: eating as much as possible while my mouth salivates due to decadent food being prepared. How can you not gain weight by simply watching the show? End result, thanks for teasing me while i’m stuck in this seat aboard your jet. Ha, ha, I love you jetBlue.
Hello Portland, Oregon:
Let me begin by saying that our main reason for visiting Portland, Oregon was to explore new territory. With that in mind, we (Michele and I) didn’t know what to expect but we knew it would be a great experience. Excitement began to build up as we were nearing our travel date of September 10th. I began to inquire about activities, festivals, restaurants and tourist attractions via Twitter (Add us: @sawyouonjetblue and @Michele_Pacheco). how can I begin to describe this city?
